COLLEGE SECTION ADMISSION - 2012

In the College Section only Class X will be open for admission.  (Admission to A-level courses is a separate procedure, the details of which will be posted on this website later in the year).

PERMITTED DATES OF BIRTH

Children born in the following months only will be considered:

1997:  MAY, JUNE, JULY, AUGUST, SEPTEMBER, OCTOBER, NOVEMBER, DECEMBER

1998:  JANUARY, FEBRUARY, MARCH, APRIL.

This is strictly enforced.  Fake papers submitted will lead to disqualification.

APPOINTMENTS FOR REGISTRATION & INTERVIEW

Individual appointments for registration will be arranged on the following days at the times stated:

THURSDAY 1 MARCH 2012 (Only for Grammarian parents or those with a child already in the School)

· Appointment slips will be available from 10:00 – 11:00 am ON THIS DAY ONLY.

· The appointment slip is to be collected in person by a parent from the Main Gate at the College Section, Clifton.

· The appointment for registration and interview will be set for some time on Saturday 3 March 2012: please keep that morning free.  Both parents and the applicant are required to attend the interview.

· When you come for the appointment please bring evidence of your Grammarian (past and/or siblings) link with KGS in addition to the required documents (see below).

· Details of the admission test for the child will be given at registration.

Friday 2 MARCH 2012 (For all other applicants)

· Appointment slips will be available from 9:30 – 10:30 am ON THIS DAY ONLY.

· The appointment slip is to be collected in person by a parent from the Main Gate at the College Section, Clifton.

· The appointment for registration and interview will be set for some time on March 5, March 6 or March 7 2012: please keep these mornings free. Both parents and the applicant are required to attend the interview.

· When you come for the appointment please bring the required documents (see below).

· Details of the admission test for the child will be given at registration.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED AT REGISTRATION (All applicants)

(a)         Original birth certificate (NOT a recent extract from the register)

(b)         Photocopy of birth certificate

(c)         Recent passport-size photograph of the child (2 copies)

TEST

The test will be held on the morning of Saturday 17 March 2012 from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon.  Subjects tested will be English, Mathematics, Urdu and General Science.
